Rusty was diagnosed with Boxer Cardiomyopathy, a common heart defect in the breed. We are treating him with beta blockers and anti-arrhythmia drugs, but there is no guarantee that they will prevent sudden heart failure.

So sorry to hear this Shawna! Little miss Daisy had a similar attack. She has the beginning of congestive heart failure, started coughing which closed her trachea and made her faint. So Scary! It's so hard to see them so helpless. They become like kids! I will say an extra prayer for Rusty tonight and hopefully the meds help him out!
